RESPIRATORY DETOX

HALOTHERAPY

 What is Halotherapy?

Halotherapy is where salt is ground into microparticles and disbursed into the air which is inhaled into the respiratory system. The dry salt naturally starts absorbing allergens, toxins, and foreign substances from your lungs and throughout your respiratory track. Dry salt can also reduce inflammation in the air passageways. If you suffer from asthma, allergies, respiratory issues, and even COPD, salt therapy may be a powerful addition to your regular treatment.

One of the first people to discover the benefits of salt therapy was Feliks Boczkowski, a Polish doctor in 1843 who realized that salt mine workers had healthier respiratory systems and did not have the same kind of lung diseases as people that did not work in the mines. Dr. Feliks Boczkowski brought this form of "Speleotherapy" into hospitals to treat multiple respiratory conditions.

Other caves were discovered in Poland, Russia, Ukraine, Romania, and in Austria. These are just a few of the countries that have these natural salt caves. Europe has been using "Speleotherapy" as a medical treatment for decades, as well as the Russians. In the 1980s the Russians took the lead in using salt to treat respiratory issues in a medical setting. As more people discovered the benefits of dry salt, the treatments have become a common medical practice to treat respiratory and skin issues in other countries around the world. In some countries, Halotherapy is covered by their Government's Health Care system or insurance companies.
